Hello, friends! We are in the thick of the summer heat wave, and things are heating up at our brewery and Tap Room in Concord! As many of you have probably already heard, we have big news coming out of the East Bay. Our co-founders Morgan Cox and Stephen Lopas just signed the lease at our new brewery location in Oakland! The new brewery and Tap Room will be located in the Jingletown District of Oakland, right next to the Fruitvale BART station. We will be making the transition in Fall of this year. Currently Morgan and Steve are in the middle of the CUP – Conditional Use Permit – process. We will also file our ABC (Alcohol and Beverage Control) Change of Location paperwork, the premise to premise transfer. In addition to this awesome expansion news, we want to make sure that our Concord family and friends are aware that we are ACTIVELY seeking a location in Concord for a second Tap Room-only site. What we are looking for will preferably be within walking distance of Concord BART to increase accessibility for all you thirsty craft beer drinkers out there! Stay tuned for more information and updates!
We also have a few fun events coming up in the next couple of weeks around the Bay Area. This Friday, July 26th, find Tap Room Manager Maureen and Co-owner Laura Cox at the BevMo in Walnut Creek on North Main from 4pm – 7pm! Maureen and Laura will be pouring tastings of our Golden State of Mind and Rye’d Piper, both of which are now available at BevMo’s Bay Area-wide.
This coming Saturday, July 27th, find co-founder Stephen Lopas out at the Pleasant Hill Blues & Brews Festival! This event is always a good time, and is scheduled for 12pm – 6pm at Pleasant Hill Park. General Admission is from 1-5pm, with $35 tickets in advance and $45 at the door. This gets you unlimited tastings, as well as access to free music and fun all afternoon! Join us, and don’t forget to stop by and say hello!
The following weekend is jam-packed with great events as well. Saturday, August 3rd we will be out at the Yelp Summer Sip-nic at the Rock Wall Wine Company in Alameda from 2pm – 5pm. “Behold, Yelp’s annual East Bay community party! Yelp’s Summer Sip-nic at Rock Wall Wine Co puts a new spin on this summery pastime with wine & beer tastings, enticing edibles, and quirky entertainment…all while taking in Rock Wall’s stunning waterfront views.” There will be delicious local food vendors, local breweries and wineries, and more.
Also on August 3rd is our “First Saturdays” Artist Market at the Tap Room in Concord. This is looking to be a really fun and exciting event, as we have a full Artist Market made up of local artists, food vendors and craftspeople, as well as an amazing music line-up! Starting things off at 3pm will be The Highway Crew, followed by the DEBUT performance of The Whoa! The Whoa is an all-star band fronted by the one and only Jason Young, our good friend and Ale Industries’ Open Mic Thursdays host for over 3 years! Closing out the evening will be local favorites Space Monkey Gangstas, a rock-reggae group that will definitely get us all dancing! To keep our bellies full and happy, Forno Di Sbarro will be out with their mobile, wood-fired pizza oven. For more information please check out our official EVENT PAGE on Facebook. We hope to see you all there!
That’s all for now. Until next time, Cheers! (And don’t forget to ask ‘em for an Ale Industries!)
