Grand Cru - 5.75% ABV
Our Grand Cru is from our very first batch and has aged for two years in Olin Wines Zinfandel barrels. We added 110 lbs. of biodynamically grown figs, from Knoll Organics in Byron, CA. Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus were added which worked together with the local wild yeast present on the figs to sour this golden ale. We are proud to call this beer our Grand Cru.
East Bay IPA - 7.75% ABV
100 IBUs and a simple malt profile really show off this IPA's character and Northern California heritage. Citra and Galaxy hops were used to dry hop this beer into next week!
Fall Down Brown - 8.25% ABV
Fall Down Brown is our Fall seasonal. It is a brown ale that has been brewed with smoked pumpkin. FDB drinks more like a Rauch Beer than a traditional pumpkin beer. Don't expect to taste pie with this one!
Agent Ned - 6.25% ABV
This Flanders Red was fermented in a Climbing Monkey Wines barrel, using the lees that were left after bottling. We are really happy with the dry-red wine finish. When fermentation was complete we dosed the barrel with our blend of wild yeast and bacteria that we created in the Grand Cru.
Leroy 5.25% ABV
Dark Brown with roasty-toasty/chocolate-nutty flavor. This beer gets its color and taste from the use of Pale Chocolate malt and Biscuit malt. Both of these malts come from the Castle Malting Co. of Beloeil, Belgium. The locally grown hops are there for balance, but are slightly more present than an even balance, which would be found in a Northern English Brown.
B.B. Le Roy 5.75% ABV
This beer is a blend of Leroy, and Rye'd Piper. It was aged for 5 months in a Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrel. We really enjoy it's milk chocolate and coffee flavors. Spicy from the barrel and the rye, it is both smooth and dry in it's finish.
Funky Le Roy - 5.5% ABV
Barrel funkified B.B. Le Roy, WoW! Sour Bourbon Brown Ale
Bliss 3.5% ABV
This is our summer brown. Light malts, crisp carbonation, and low alcohol make this the perfect beer for those beautiful Bay Area summer nights!
Fuzzy Snow-beck 8.5% ABV
This English style barley wine is a beer that will warm you right up on those cold winter nights. We use over 100 pounds of molasses to give the beer a rich and earthy flavor plus the molasses compliments the hops that we use are named Styrian Bobec, this hop has a very spicy/earthy flavor and aroma that compliments this beer well!
Fysus 9.6% ABV
This beer was a blend of the Fuzzy Sno-beck and a super high gravity barrel fermented beer not to be messed with! Once the base beer is finished its fermentation in the barrel, the Fuzzy Sno-beck was added to top off the single bourbon barrel. This is where the beer stayed for the next six months. It has since then aged an additional fourteen months in Stainless Steel, and will be bottled in January of 2011.
Double Albino Cascadian Ale 8.8% ABV
The first batch to be specifically brewed for our Small Batch/Barrel department. Full description will be up as soon as beer finishes.
